"the monster and the mystic!", script by len wein, pencils by sal buscema (breakdowns) and ernie chan (finished art), inks by ernie chan; hulk is unconscious so doctor druid must face mongu on his own!; the mystic dodges from the gladiator's hatchet but is knocked out by maha yogui's mental beam; hulk and druid are bonded to strong chains that release electric shocks if they move; druid enters the hulk's mind and triggers the transformation; bruce banner sleeps through the chains and unties the mystic; but when they try escaping from the cell, mongu is waiting for them; the shaggy giant takes both to his master who wants a hulk vs mongu battle on the palace's arena!; banner is not willing to turn into his mightier persona so he's given an axe to face the cosmic gladiator; the physicist dodges mongu's attacks; but eventually hulk shows up; green skin proves stronger so maha uses his jewel of jeopardy to feed power onto his goon. 36 pgs., full color. $0.30.
