What's buzzin’, cousin?

Teen humor comics were sweeping the newsstands in the late 1940s, and the American Comics Group, after the successes of their "COOKIE" and "KILROYS" series, combined this newly-popular genre with one that they were very familiar with: FUNNY ANIMALS!  The result was "HI-JINX Teen-age Animal Funnies" and here is the first issue!

Inside the cover and the first two pages by ACG veteran Dan Gordon, are 50 swinging' pages of jive-talkin' funny animal shenanigans spread over 9 rowdy stories by Disney animator and consummate cartoonist JACK BRADBURY!  The cast includes front man Tommy Tabby and his gal Kitty Katt, Heppity Hare, and their somewhat clueless, buddy-duddy friend, Mr. Square.

As a group, they're in and out of jams and predicaments, but always looking for a good time.  Usually involving swing music and dancing! NATCH!

This is a well-read and enjoyed copy that has survived its 74 years in pretty good shape!  The binding is strong on this 52-page comic, with typical toning for its vintage, minimally ragged edges, as well as a bit of handwriting, on the front cover .  We call it a 3.0 GD/VG . . and you might call it something better!  Overstreet thinks $30 for this grade is appropriate on this seldom-seen comic . . . but we think you'd rather find $18 even MORE appropriate -- especially when you throw in our L• O •W shipping fee - and FREE SHIPPING for additional purchases!  

This copy is in much better condition, and far more affordable than any other copies here on HipComic!

Don't be a DRIP - do the REET thing, be an ACE, and gobble this up!  You'll have a GAS!
