Writer Tony Isabella and artist Richard Howell decided that HAWKMAN's very confusing history needed to be cleaned up after the events of CRISIS ON INFINITE EARTHS, and this Second Volume of HAWKMAN did a great job of making the Winged Warrior's backstory much more understandable!

In "SECRETS . . .", HAWKMAN and HAWKWOMAN fight the Shadow-Thief and stop a prison break. Joe Tracy, upset at Mavis Trent's death, reveals the Hawks' secret identities to the press. This would be the first of 17 issues before the title was cancelled.

This is a great-looking copy from 35 years ago, that bravely delves into Carter Hall/Katar Hol's complicated history as HAWKMAN -- there are no creases, tears, pieces missing, or abnormal toning. The binding is strong, the colors are bright . . it's amazingly tight and sturdy, with good cover gloss!
