Here's another entry in the huge category of 'Weird 1940s Funny Animal Comics'. There were a plethora of these at the dawn of humor comics (Ha Ha, Giggle, Goofy, Barnyard, etc.) and it's fairly obvious they were all trying out the slapstickiest talking animal stories they could come up with, in the hopes that one or more would become popular enough to sustain their own title.

Sadly, none of the characters in this issue ever went on to lasting fame!

You do get Happy Rabbit, Bruno Bear, Uncle Fuzzy Hare, & Phineas the Parrot ➤➤ including two text page illustrations and a 7-pg BRUNO BEAR story by none other than FRANK FRAZETTA in his early and stylish Funny Animal mode! Other good artists include Milt Stein, George Roussos and Vince Fago.

This copy is really nice - the cover is clean and the binding is strong on this 52-page comic, with typical 72-year old toning. There is a small date stamp at the top of the front cover as well as some flattened creases, and a piece missing from the top left. We conservatively grade it a 4.0 VG. Overstreet thinks you should pay $40 for this issue with FRAZETTA art . . . we think you'd rather pay just a fraction of that = $22 -- plus our L•O•W shipping fee -- and FREE SHIPPING for any additional purchases!!
