Here's another entry in the huge category of 'Weird 1940s Funny Animal Comics'. There were a plethora of these at the dawn of humor comics (Ha Ha, Giggle, Goofy, Barnyard, etc.) and it's fairly obvious they were all trying out the slapstickiest talking animal stories they could come up with, in the hopes that one or more would become popular enough to sustain their own title.

Sadly, none of the characters in this issue ever went on to lasting fame!

You do get Horace an' Hank, McGinty the Mousel, Racky Raccoon and the Kilkenny Kats!, among others from East Coast cartoonists like Terrytoons animator Jim Tyer (who did the cover), Milt Stein, Rube Grossman, and Ed Harris.

The cover is clean and the binding has been repaired on this 52-page comic, with typical 77-year old toning and a few ragged page edges. We call it a 4.0 VG. Overstreet thinks you would pay $28 for this grade . . . we think you'd rather pay $14 plus our L• O •W shipping fee!
