HA HA COMICS is considered by many Funny Animal comic collectors to be the 'Cadillac' of the genre (at least among the titles published by the ACG/Nedor/Pines/Standard consortium). Some of the best moonlighting animators of the '40s and '50s spent their evenings at home contributing stories to this title! Animators Jack Bradbury, Ken Hultgren, Dan Gordon and Bob Wickersham, alone, are represented in this issue!

Among the ongoing characters running in HA HA in the Summer of 1949 were Izzy and Dizzy, Uncle Oink, Robespierre, Daniel Spaniel, Joisey Kitty and The Hepcats! Seven stories in all are here in this issue's 52 pages, plus 4 illustrated text pages. Among the better artists in this issue is Disney and Warner Bros. animator Jack Bradbury, offering up another tale of his swinging' teen animals, the Hepcats! Bradbury's friend and coworker at the time, Bob Wickersham, delivers another goofy Daniel Spaniel story, and Dan Gordon delivers more appealing fun - and the cover! - in 'Anthony and Cleopatra' and 'Joisey Kitty'!
