GROO THE WANDERER was true to his name in wandering around from Comic Book publisher to publisher before landing here with Dark Horse in his first issue with the in 1998.  He began his comic book career when his creator, Sergio Aragonés submitted a four page story to the benefit comic DESTROYER DUCK #1, published in 1981 by Pacific Comics.

With failing resources, PACIFIC was only able to publish 8 issues of GROO, and he made the leap to EPIC, the MARVEL imprint, and made it his home for 120 issues!  He made another leap - this time to IMAGE COMICS for just 12 issues, before landing at DARK HORSE in 1998.

But another long run was not to be, when DARK HORSE made the decision to bring out GROO occasionally in reprints, mini-series and collections.

So here he is, trying his level best to be impressive in his new home, in a DARK HORSE ONE for ONE reprint of his initial appearance, accompanied by his dog Rufferto, shadowed by The Minstrel, and causing headaches for King Shub.  This ONE for ONE was part DARK HORSE's 12-issues series of classic first issues with distinctive red-bordered covers.

It has customary GROO hilarity from Aragonés, scribe Mark Evanier, letterer Stan Sakai and belabored colorist Tom Luth -- the usual gang of creators that have stuck with GROO . . since FOREVER!

This reprint is in near-pristine, once-read condition - graded conservatively at 9.0 VF/NM . We're offering it for a bargain price, along with our always-L•O•W shipping of just $2.
