Green Lantern #86 DC comics 1971 Neal Adams Anti-Drug Story bronze age key book! Giant-size issue. Cover by Neal Adams. Green Arrow co-stars in this famous anti-drug issue. They Say It'll Kill Me... But They Won't Say When!, script by Denny O'Neil, pencils by Neal Adams, inks by Dick Giordano; Having discovered that Roy is a junkie, Green Arrow sets out to bring the drug traffickers down; Green Lantern returns to Oliver's building and finds Roy curled up in the basement; He takes Roy to Dinah's to straighten out and heads out to find Green Arrow, who has been knocked out by the drug dealers and tossed into the harbor to drown; GA escapes just as GL arrives to take out the goons who threw him into the water; Together the two trace the drugs to pharmaceutical magnate Salomon Hooper and put him out of business; But Roy explains that drugs are not the root problem, just a symptom of it. Anti-drug message from John V. Lindsay, mayor of New York City (1966-1973), thanking DC Comics for publishing the Green Lantern story in this and the previous issue. Reprint story: The Icicle Goes South! (from All-American Comics 92, December 1947), script by Robert Kanigher, art by Alex Toth; Green Lantern must stop the Icicle, who is helping a dictator to take over the South American country of Perumbia. 52 pgs., full color. $0.25. Cover price $0.25. Sadly it grades low as it has bends tears water damage there are large tears to the cover the cover is detached and missing a chunk 2/3 the size of a dollar the first two pages have a chunk missing out of each about the size of a postage stamp(it impacts the art but the word bubbles seem all there except for maybe one or two letters missing) one page has a tear all the way across it and other defects. I would call it around a 1.0 fr out of 10 condition. See pics and judge for yourself before purchasing as grading is subjective.
