Here's a great crossover story as Earth One's GREEN LANTERN - Alan Scott- travels to 'our' Earth Two to team up with Hal Jordan, written by 'guest writer' Mike Friedrich and beautifully and dynamically illustrated by the incredible Gil Kane - with the added bonus of beautiful inking by Sid Greene.

In "Thoroughly Modern Mayhem", ( a title that plays on the name of a popular movie at the time, "Thoroughly Modern Millie") GREEN LANTERN Hal Jordan is joined on Earth Two by Alan Scottand together they take down master villain Captain Challenge. But Alan tells Hal he may be getting too old for this kind of action, and returns to Earth One in sadness and disgust at the level of violence in the world.

This leads him to angrily command his ring to remove all forms of evil intent on his world . . and instantly, every human disappears!

Returning from a space mission, Hal Jordan sees millions and millions of peopl standing shoulder to shoulder on the bonneville Salt Flats, and discovers they are the populace of Earth One! Further investigating, he comes upon Alan Scott and they realize he had caused the dimensional transfer of all Earth One inhabitants when he commanded his ring to eliminate all evil!

Together they are able to get everyone back to Earth One and Alan takes a renewed commitment to his duties and his attitude, realizing he needs to deal with just one conflict at a time, and know that he is doing good.

A point of trivia -- this story contains Alan Scott's first repeating of his Golsen Age oath since an early issue of the Golden Age GREEN LANTERN!
