That super brainiac whose head is too big for his body, HECTOR HAMMOND makes an appearance here tormenting the Silver Age GL, Hal Jordan, in a Gardner Fox story beautifully and dynamically illustrated by the incredible Gil Kane and inked with the gorgeously precise lines of Sid Greene! (and that great cover was pencilled by Kane and inked by Murphy Anderson!)

In "Three-Way Attack Against Green Lantern!" , incarcerated villain HECTOR HAMMOND formulates a new plan against GREEN LANTERN. He decides to spy on the hero, hoping to see him meeting with the Guardians of the Universe. HAMMOND uses his vast mental powers to create a mental duplicate of one of the Guardians of the Universe. He lures GL into his trap by having the duplicate Guardian become an attraction at the Coast City Carnival. Seeing the advertisements, Hal goes to the Guardian's booth, where the Guardian challenges GL to a duel.

The duel takes the two to a distant world, where GREEN LANTERN is beset by vicious plant life, a freezing polar zone, and a telepathic giant lizard! Gardner Fox works his trademark scientific legerdemaine and GL overcomes his adversary and even enjoys a date with Carol Ferris after Hammond is defeated!

Gil Kane's artwork is terrific!

This is a great-looking 58-year old Silver Age GREEN LANTERN -- no creases, tears, pieces missing, or abnormal toning. The binding is strong, the colors are bright . . you can tell this was well-cared for over the years! Unfortunately, the centerfold has come loose, but is present. We conservatively grade this a 5.0 VG/FN . . . which Overstreet values at $28 . . but we're pricing it at $15 . . with our always-L•O•W shipping!
