DOCTOR LIGHT makes his first appearance in GREEN LANTERN in a Gardner Fox story beautifully and dynamically illustrated by the incredible Gil Kane, and inked with the gorgeously precise lines of Sid Greene!

In "Wizard of the Light-Wave Weapons!",DOCTOR LIGHT attacks GREEN LANTERN with the goal of defeating each member of the Justice League separately, but instead is defeated by Hal Jordan's power ring.

In the back-up story, "Disarming Green Lantern!", by the same trio of creators, in their shared hospital room, Barks Ownley (looking a LOT like Edward G. Robinson!) overhears Tom Kalmaku sleep-talking about Green Lantern's power battery, and he devises a scheme to steal the battery. Bu he's defeated by GREEN LANTERN because Tom (Pieface) warns him and they create a plan to fool Ownley and his thieves.

This is a pretty good-looking 58-year old Silver Age GREEN LANTERN -- no creases, tears, pieces missing, or abnormal toning. The binding is strong, the colors are bright . . but the back cover is somewhat scuffed and dirty, there is a mild discoloration of the pages around the upper staple, and the centerfold is loose. We grade this a 5.0 VG/FN . . . which Overstreet values at $25 . . . but we're pricing it at just $18. . with our always-L•O•W shipping!
