Item Description

Here is the third team-up between GREEN LANTERN and THE FLASH, following their initial adventure together in GREEN LANTERN #13 and the second in THE FLASH #131. This time they work together like a well-oiled machine!

In "Parasite Planet Peril!", Green Lantern and Flash must stop villains from a subatomic world. When an illness that causes those infected to disappear, Green Lantern and the Flash are called in to help solve the mystery.They monitor a man stricken with the illness but are unable to detect anything before the man disappears. Suddenly, Green Lantern becomes stricken with the illness as well.

Rushing Green Lantern to his power battery, Hal gives the Flash his power ring moments before he vanishes! Using a combination of scientific devices, his super speed, and the power ring, the Flash learns that the cause of the illness is a microscopic race of creatures - the MIKRIDS!

Using the power ring to shrink down to microscopic size, the Flash finds Green Lantern and all the other missing people prisoners on Mikridion. After freeing Green Lantern, the two heroes face the Mikrids who are stealing human's brain power for their own ends, but GL and Flash are able to destroy their devices and defeat them. They cure all the captives and return with them to Earth, where Hal and Barry go on a double date with Carol and Iris, who tell the two about how Flash and Green Lantern saved the day!

John Broome once again uses his great sci-fi imagination, and Gil Kane does his usual heroic artistry!

This is a good-looking 48-year old Silver Age GREEN LANTERN -- no creases, tears, pieces missing, or abnormal toning. The binding is strong, and the colors are bright . . . the only flaw we see are the faint remnants of someone trying to trace the cover art, and the resulting impression on the title page. We grade this a conservative 4.5 VG+ . . . which Overstreet values at $38 . . . but we're pricing it at only $20 . . with our always-L•O•W shipping!
