Contains Issue #'s 202-222 ***Green Lantern (1960-1988) : 'In Showcase #22, test pilot Hal Jordan would encounter a dying alien who would give Hal his power ring. Upon wearing that ring, Hal became Earth’s new Green Lantern (the Golden Age version, Alan Scott, supposedly operated on an alternate Earth). Hal’s power ring gave him almost unlimited powers, but the ring needed to be recharged from a special battery every twenty-four hours. Unlike the original Green Lantern, Hal no longer had a weakness to wood, but instead has a weakness to anything yellow (apparently due to a necessary impurity in the ring’s power source).Green Lantern was one of DC’s key super-heroes and a longtime member of the Justice League of America. Although later Green Lantern series would put Hal through a great deal of spiritual and emotional turmoil, this 1960–1986 title was primarily focused on high-flying adventure.' - COMICBASE ATLAS ARCHIVE EDITIONGreen Lantern Corps (1986) : 'Unlike other super-heroes, the various people who have wielded the awesome power of Green Lantern are not solo adventurers. It marked a shift in focus away from the solo Green Lantern heroes (notably Hal Jordan) and toward a cast of less distinguished Green Lanterns such as Guy Gardner and John Stewart who operated in tandem.
