Here's another entry in the huge category of 'Weird 1940s Funny Animal Comics'. There were a plethora of these at the dawn of humor comics (Ha Ha, Giggle, Happy, Barnyard, etc.) and it's fairly obvious they were all trying out the slapstickiest talking animal stories they could come up with, in the hopes that one or more would become popular enough to sustain their own title.

Sadly, none of the characters in this issue ever went on to lasting fame!

You do get Uncle Pigly, Chip Squirrel, Willie the Westerner, and Penny Pretend, among others from East Coast cartoonists like Terrytoons animator Jim Tyer (who did the cover), Milt Stein, Al Pross, and Disney animator Ken Hultgren thrown in for good measure!

The cover and binding are tight on this 52-page comic, with typical 75-year old toning and a few ragged page edges, and the back cover bottom is rough. We call it a 5.0 VG/FN. Overstreet thinks you would pay $30 for this grade . . . we think you'd rather pay our $9 plus our L• O •W shipping fee!
