Here's another entry in the huge category of 'Weird 1940s Funny Animal Comics'. There were a plethora of these at the dawn of humor comics ('Ha Ha', 'Giggle', 'Happy', 'Barnyard', etc.) and it's fairly obvious they were all trying out the slapstickiest talking animal stories they could come up with, in the hopes that one or more would become popular enough to sustain their own title.

Sadly, none of the characters in this issue ever went on to lasting fame!

You do get Uncle Pigly, The Travelers, Bagshaw Bear, and Matt Mouse, among others. East Coast cartoonists like well-known Terrytoons animator Jim Tyer and Carl Wessler are joined by Disney animators Ken Hultgren and Jack Bradbury!

This 52-page comic has obviously seen better days, with typical 76-year old toning, a tiny bit of writing in the 'G' of the front cover title, and a 4" tear on the back cover. We call it a 3.0 GD/VG, but it still provides chuckles and smiles, and an interesting look at what appealed to kids during World War II! Overstreet thinks you would pay $19 for this grade . . . we think you'd rather pay our $7.50 coupled with our L• O •W $2 shipping!
