Here are GIANT-SIZE CONAN THE BARBARIAN #1 and #2 from only 2 months apart at the end of 1974, less than 4 years after CONAN THE BARBARIAN #1 and during the height of Conan-mania! Marvel capitalized on all that interest and frenzy with these two 68-page, square-bound bonanzas of new adaptations of Robert E. Howard stories, and reprints from two of the first 5 issues of CONAN!

In #1, with a cover by John Buscema, Roy Thomas adapts REH's "The Hour of the Dragon" and also presents a reprint from CONAN #3 of Barry Winsor-Smith's "The Twilight of the Grim Grey God". In GIANT-SIZE #2 you get the Thomas/Kane adaptation of "Conan Bound" and a reprint of "Zukala's Daughter", by Windsor-Smith, from Conan #3. Both issues have a variety of historical articles about the Hyborean Age and Robert E. Howard, as well as commentary on the making of the Howard adaptations.

These two 46-year old copies show their age a bit - #1 in particular. It has a slightly dimpled cover and a rather rough-looking spine. #2 is in much better shape. Neither have any tears, creases or missing pieces, and only mild toning. Kane's artwork is still stunning! We think they average out to a conservative 4.5 VG+ . . and as such, Overstreet proclaims a value of $17.50 . . but we proclaim that we value you as a customer and only ask $12.50. And that's combined with our always-LOW shipping!
