FOUR COLOR #311 was devoted to PORKY PIG, and his appearance in 6 different stories over 52 pages gives you a generous helping of HAM! This is the 16th appearance of PORKY in Dell Four Color Comics, dating back to 1942 and FC #16.

The cover story, "The Midget Horses of Hidden Valley"", finds PORKY being called to his Uncle Ham's ranch when two crooks attempt to get Ham to tell them the location of a secret valley full of "hundreds of full-grown horses no larger than police dogs."

Among the other 5 stories is "The Walking Goldmine" by my favorite cartoonist Jack Bradbury,  wherein PORKY wins a contest and gets a prize of the Bar BQ ranch in Tumbleweed County. He sells his house and goes with BUGS BUNNY to claim his prize, only to find out that his ranch is just a small fenced area with one steer!

This is a nicely tight and clean copy with mildly toned pages.  There is a bit of a spine roll, and cover stress lines, but no tears or pieces missing. One page has a tiny separation at the edge, but is barely noticeable.  It's easily a 5.0 VG/FN, which Overstreet values at $20. We think $16 will make both of us happy . . especially combined with our L•O•W shipping costs!
