Here's a nice, tight, beautifully-cared-for, 73-year-old Disney comic with 52 pages of story - including the 24-page lead story by the 'Good Duck Artist', Carl Barks! DONALD DUCK made his first appearance in DELL FOUR COLOR COMICS in 1943 in the story "Donald Duck Finds Pirate Gold", and here he is, 7 years later, not searching this time for treasure with his nephews, but trying to track down a brooch belonging to DAISY DUCK!

In the 28-page lead story, "Big-Top Bedlam", DONALD loses DAISY's heirloom brooch on the way to hock it for enough money to buy circus tickets for himself and the nephews. The brooch turns up mysteriously in the hands of a quick-change artist at the circus, and DONALD gets a job as a clown so that he can try to get the brooch back.

There's also a clever 20-page back-up story, "The Firebugs!" , by long-time Disney comic book artist Paul Murry. DONALD's nephews get into mischief with a movie projector by projecting images of a fire on various neighbors' houses and causing firefighters DONALD and GOOFY continuous confusion when they attend the areas in their fire engine in an attempt to put out the fires.

This is a beautiful copy of this popular issue - the binding is strong, the pages are bright and colorful and free from the toning of most comics this age. The cover is unmarred, and with much of its gloss remaining!
