Jim Davis - the talent behind THE FOX AND THE CROW comics - being uncommonly adept at depicting the conflicts between talking animals - created the Canary / Cat / Dog trio of combatants in "FLIPPITY AND FLOP" in 1950. FLIPPITY is the clever canary, FLOP is the conniving cat, and SAM is the dim-witted dog, who missed out on star-billing in the title!

Issue #38, from early Spring 1958, is a perfect example of these three in their never-ending skirmishes. Jim Davis illustrates 3 FLIPPITY and FLOP stories, plus a tale of the two goofy mice, 'TWIDDLE and TWADDLE'.  Therer are also several text stories and fun activity pages.

This 66-year-old DC comic is in 5.5 VG/FN condition -- there are no tears or pieces missing. Normal toning but no foxing. There is a date stamp on the cover, as there were on many newsstand comics of this era.  Though Overstreet says $28 for a 5.5 FN- . . we will let this go for only $16, which makes it the most affordable FLIPPITY AND FLOP #38 here on HipComic!
