Jim Davis - the talent behind THE FOX AND THE CROW comics - being uncommonly adept at depicting the conflicts between talking animals - created the Canary / Cat / Dog trio of combatants in "FLIPPITY AND FLOP" in 1950. FLIPPITY is the clever canary, FLOP is the conniving cat, and SAM is the dim-witted dog, who missed out on star-billing in the title!

Issue #14, from Winter 1954, is a perfect example of these three in their never-ending skirmishes. Jim Davis illustrates 4 FLIPPITY and FLOP stories, plus a tale of the two goofy mice, 'TWIDDLE and TWADDLE'.

This 69-year-old DC comic is in 5.0 VG/FN condition -- there are no tears or pieces missing. Normal toning but no foxing. BUT - the cover has recently become detached, lowering the value considerably.  Though Overstreet says $27 for an otherwise 5.0 VG/FN --- we will let this go for only $8, which makes it the most affordable FLIPPITY AND FLOP #14 here on HipComic!
