Here is the successor to DC's 128-issue, 14-year run of 'Real Screen Cartoons' -- the first two issues of TV SCREEN CARTOONS (acknowledging that, in 1959, more cartoons were probably being seen on home TV screens, rather than on movie screens in theaters!) TV SCREEN CARTOONS continued their numbering from the old run of Real Screen, and kept pretty much the same line-up of characters and artists. It ran for just 10 issues.

#129 has three Fox and Crow stories handled by "the good artist", Jim Davis. There's also a 'Flippity and Flop' story, and a 'Tito and Hees Burrito' tale. There's also a clean activity page, a text story, and several cartoon advertisement pages!

#130 has almost an identical line-up, but the first story format is a departure: it is drawn with thick rounded borders on the panels, which are 8 to a page on all but the first and last pages - to mimic a 4:3 TV screen!  Also of note, this story features characters other than Fox and Crow who speak. A rarity for the strip.

These are two very nice copies from 1959 that we conservatively grade 5.0 VG/FN - obviously 61 years old, with normal wear and small stress lines, but no significant blemishes other than a small spot of something on the cover of #129 and an inscription on the back cover of #130.  Overstreet values this pair at $30 . . we say $12 for two laugh-filled comics . . and our L•O•W shipping price will also make you smile!
