The amazing cover of FANTASTIC FOUR ANNUAL #3 with its 45 different Marvel characters as depicted by Jack Kirby, only hints at the total mayhem when Reed Richards and Sue Storm tie the knot! In "Bedlam at the Baxter Building", Mr. Fantastic and the Invisible Girl have invited all their superhero friends from the Avengers and X-Men to their wedding, but Doctor Doom uses his Emotion Charger to compel a mighty host of super-villains to invade the festivities.

Colossal battles between different sets of heroes and villains ensue, until Reed Richards is summoned to the Watcher's citadel, where he is given a device that will allow him to transport all the attackers away, with no memory of what has transpired. With the villains defeated, Reed and Sue are finally married. Outside, Stan Lee and Jack Kirby are turned away from the ceremony as they do not have invitations, and leave muttering dire threats of retribution.

Whew! -- and that's just the first of three complete stories in this 72-page, square-bound blockbuster! You also get the 5-part story wherein Dr. Doom and the Sub-Mariner form an uneasy alliance to bring down the Fantastic Four, launching the Baxter Building into space on a collision course with the sun! And the fan-favorite story, "The Impossible Man" returns from Issue #11 of FANTASTIC FOUR in 1963.

It also has the delightful 11-page "A Visit With The Fantastic Four" that tells the story of Willie Lumpkin bringing the Fantastic Four their huge mailbag of fan letters, which makes them reminisce about their youths and their origin.

It's all terrific stuff from 55 years ago!! This is a pretty nice copy - we're conservatively grading it a 4.0 VG with a strong binding, with no splits, tears or chips to be seen, the normal toning of 5-decade old newsprint, and only an unobtrusive cover date stamp and a bit of handwriting on the splash page to prevent it from being graded higher.
