In "Calamity on the Campus!", REED RICHARDS is invited to give a speech at his alma mater of Empire State University, and the other members of the Fantastic Four accompany him there. Unbeknownst to them DIABLO has escaped his imprisonment in Transylvania and makes his way to the campus, seeking revenge on the FF.

The villain DIABLO learns that a professor there is constructing a hybrid android that is part man/part DRAGON. DIABLO takes control of the beast and turns him against the Fantastic Four, and a campus-wide battle ensues!

There are cameo appearances by Professor Xavier and Scott Summers of the X-MEN, and Peter Parker is there too, to see if he might attend ESU after graduating from High School!

Powerful and dynamic illustrations by Jack Kirby and Chic Stone!! And at the end of the story Reed proposes to Sue . . and she ACCEPTS!

This is a well-read copy of FANTASTIC FOUR #35, with a worn but strong binding, stress lines, a few ragged edges, moderate spine roll, and a bit of handwriting at the top of the splash page and letters page. The final page of the issue is missing, but it does not affect the story.

We're grading it a 2.5 GD+, which Overstreet values at $31 . . . but we're pricing it at just $14 to give you the best value for this issue in this condition on HipComic!
