It's 'THE WORLD'S GREATEST COMIC MAGAZINE'!!! Stan Lee and Jack Kirby certainly earned that distinction - providing a mammoth amount of action, thrills and drama in their years together on this title!  And issue #31 is no exception!

In "The Mad Menace of the Macabre Mole Man!", an earthquake rocks NYC sending the FANTASTIC FOUR racing out of the Baxter Building to find cover.  In the confusion Sue Storm heads out on a solo mission and the 3 men answer the call to investigate a whole city block sinking  below the surface!

It turns out their old foe the MOLE MAN is behind the destruction, in his obsession to capture SUE for himself.  The other teammates encounter the AVENGERS, but assure them that they can rescue SUE on their own.

Which they do . . after battling the MOLE MAN and his MOLOID Minions, but SUE is badly injured and requires emergency surgery . . which only her escaped convict father can perform!!

Powerful and dynamic illustrations (and a great cover) by Jack Kirby and Chic Stone!!

This is a well-read copy of FANTASTIC FOUR #31, with stress lines, foldovers, ragged edges and a bit of handwriting at the top of the title page . .  but it has a strong binding, all pages are supple and bright, and minimal toning for its 59 years with no foxing!   We're conservatively grading it a 3.0 GD/VG, which Overstreet values at $35 . . . but we're pricing it at just $25 to give you the best value for this issue in this condition on HipComic!
