EERIE was a horror-comics magazine launched by Warren Publishing in 1965, soon after its sister mag, CREEPY hit newsstands. Like 'MAD', it was a black-and-white publication in a magazine format and did not carry the seal of the Comics Code Authority. An anthology magazine, it was published bimonthly and took advantage of the mid-60s 'monster-craze' in everything from TV sitcoms to bubblegum cards to hot rod model kits! Each issue's stories were introduced by the host character, Cousin Eerie, designed by Jack Davis!

Here's issue #7 from early 1965. Inside the painted cover by Frank Frazetta, an impressive line-up of black-and-white horror artists are represented: Gene Colan, Reed Crandall, Al Williamson, Wally Wood, Gray Morrow, John Severin and more!

Seven outstanding stories fill its 52 pages, with titles like "Witches' Tide" (by Gene Colan), "Hitch-Hike Horror", "FLY!" (by Steve Ditko), and "Cry Fear, Cry Phantom"

So much entertainment and artistry - and eerieness - in one place!! Even the ads for other Warren publications and monster memorabilia are a gas!

This copy is in very good shape, with a solid binding and no tears, or creases - just a tiny corner piece gone from the bottom of the front cover. There are a few stress lines on the front cover, a barely-noticeable date stamp on the back cover, and only minimal toning within, but nothing that affects the great artwork! We very conservatively grade this at 7.0 FN/VF. As such, Overstreet lists a value of $35 . . . but we're offering it at $25 . . with our always-LOW shipping . . and FREE shipping when you combine additional purchases!

It's the most affordable #7 available here on HipComic!! Those other high prices are just EERIE!
