EERIE was a horror-comics magazine launched by Warren Publishing in 1965, soon after its sister mag, CREEPY, hit newsstands. Like 'MAD', it was a black-and-white publication in a magazine format and did not carry the seal of the Comics Code Authority. An anthology magazine, it was published bimonthly and took advantage of the mid-60s 'monster-craze' in everything from TV sitcoms to bubblegum cards to hot rod model kits! Each issue's stories were introduced by the host character, Cousin Eerie, designed by Jack Davis!

Here's issue #60 from the Fall of 1974. Inside the painted cover by Ken Kelly, is an impressive line-up of black-and-white horror artists: Bernie Wrightson, Richard Corben, Wally Wood and more!

Seven outstanding stories fill its 84 pages, with titles like "Nightfall" (by Wrightson), "The Manhunters" (illustrated on the cover with colored art by Wally Wood), "Unholy Creation", and "Childhood's End" (by Corben and in color!).

So much entertainment and artistry - and EERIEness - in one place!! Even the ads for other Warren publications and monster memorabilia are a gas!

This copy is in excellent shape, with a solid and still nicely-square binding and no tears, or creases - just a bit of wear at the top and bottom of the spine. There is some minimal toning within, but nothing that affects the great artwork! We very conservatively grade this at 8.0 VF. As such, Overstreet lists a value of $24 . . . but we're offering it at $18 . . with our always-LOW shipping . . and FREE shipping when you combine additional purchases!

It's by far the most affordable copy of #60 available here on HipComic!! Those other high prices are just EERIE!
