A quirky super hero title (DC's answer to the X-Men), the team consists of Robotman (Cliff Steel, the team's staple, it's not the 'Doom Patrol' without him). The team's founder, Niles 'The Chief' Caulder, and Elastic Girl and Negative Man.After their supposed deaths, survivor Robotman, along with Celsius, Tempest and Negative Girl became the new team.The super hero mood of the book, as well as the cast of characters, changed dramatically after writer extraordinaire Grant Morrison began working on the title with issue #19. Robotman (and peripherally the Chief) remaining the central foil for some of the weirdest cast of misfits and storylines to ever appear in comics!
