For about 7 issues in 1973 and '74, DC Comics made DETECTIVE COMICS a 100-page showcase of both new and classic superhero stories from some of the masters of the medium!

This issue counts among its line-up of characters and artists, Batman (drawn by Alex Toth), The Newsboy Legion in a Jack Kirby story from 1943, Hawkman by Murphy Anderson, Black Canary in a 1948 tale from Carmine Infantino, The Elongated Man with inks by Sid Greene, a Batman & Robin classic by Jerry Robinson, Doctor Fate, and an early Manhunter story from Walt Simonson!

All inside a cool Jim Aparo cover!

Wow!

This copy has obviously been well-read and enjoyed, but still has a strong binding and supple pages. A few nicks and bites, several minor stress creases in the cover, and a lightly-pencilled price on the back cover are the only visible faults, and none affect the stellar artwork. Overstreet says $15 . . . but we say, "Where else are you going to get 100 pages of amazing stories and art for only $9?!?".

You don't need to be a DETECTIVE to see what a great deal this is!!
