This unheralded issue of DETECTIVE COMICS is actually the 30th Anniversary issue -- debuting in March of 1937, and published monthly without interruption, DETECTIVE COMICS reached number 360 - after exactly 30 years of 12 issues = which translates to this #360!

In the lead story by Gardner Fox and Sheldon Moldoff, "The Case of the Abbreviated BATMAN", Batman and Robin try multiple times to get the goods on thug 'Gunshy' Barton and his gang, who have developed an abbreviated language and means of giving orders that gives the Dynamic Duo the slip. Eventually the tables are turned and Robin gets the last laugh with the meaning behind the title on the cover of this issue!

The back-up story, "London Caper of the Rockers and Mods!", by Fox and Murphy Anderson, finds the ELONGATED MAN and his wife Sue in England's capital and in the middle of a hippie gang's robberies! A real 'tale of the times' from 1967 when Carnaby Street was the height of hip fashion!

This is a near-pristine 44-year old comic - the binding s strong, the colors are bright, the covers still have their gloss . . just in top-notch condition.
