in July 2000, DC Comics published 12 comics under the title 'Silver Age' that were throw-back recreations of 1960s-style stories. Two of the 12 issues are offered here.

'Silver Age' #1 (the first of the 12 issues, even though they are all numbered #1!), by Mark Waid and the Dodsons, with a cool cover by Brian Bolland, provides the framing story for the 10 issues to follow as the Justice league of America heroes become "Pawns of the Invincible Immortal" and battle their arch-foes!

The second comic here is the 'wrap up' issue for the mini-series, 'Silver Age Secret Files and Origins' #1. It's an encyclopedic treasury of hero profiles and background info, as well as a few tongue-in-cheek entries by a panoply of great DC artists!
