DC COMICS PRESENTS ran from 1978 until 1986 and featured SUPERMAN teaming up with a different hero (or heroes) with each issue. It was modeled after the formula employed in the BATMAN team-up book, THE BRAVE AND THE BOLD.

Here in issue #66, Len Wein tells of SUPERMAN's first meeting with THE DEMON ETRIGAN (the issue number - 66 - seemingly chosen as a wink at '666: the number of the Devil'). In "The Resurgence of Blackbriar Thorn", Professor Lewis Lang unveils the wooden statue of the powerful and celebrated last of the Dark Ages Druids - BLACKBRIAR THORN - who comes to life, and SUPERMAN and The DEMON must team up to battle his evil sorcery.

Joe Kubert provides the outstanding artwork in his first outing ever illustrating The DEMON!
