At the Double Helix Research Facility, the star-spangled avenger interrupts a robbery in progress by Romulus! Who is this savage killer? Just one of Hydra's genetically-modified assassins! After Cap drives her away, the shield-slinger and Nick Fury compare notes to get to the bottom of Hydra's gambit! The former leader of the Serpent Society, Sidewinder, laments his current situation in life; and decides to bust the Cobra out of the Vault. Cameo appearance by Captain America. Flashback cameos by Diamondback and the Viper.
Fifth story: "Worth Fighting For" Guest-starring Nomad. Script by Fabian Nicieza. Pencils by Larry Alexander. Inks by Tom Dzon. While hiking through the Canadian wilderness, Nomad encounters a family also struggling to make it on their own.
Sixth feature: "The Serpent Society" Two-page pin-up of the Serpent Society in all their glory.
