As Writer, Artist and Editor, Kirby hit the ground running in his homecoming with an involved story of a bomb that came in 3 sizes and could drive people insane in ever-larger groups when detonated.

In #193, the tale begins with "The Madbomb Screamer in the Brain!", wherein Madbombe are driving whole cities crazy with violence and Henry Kissinger taps CAP and FALCON to try and stop them. Then in #194's "The Trojan Horde",the Royalist Forces of America hope to use the "Big Daddy" Madbomb to destroy democracy in the United States and return the country back to the aristocracy. The bomb's creator also wants to exact revenge on Steve Rogers, the descendant of the man who killed his ancestor during the Revolutionary War! CAPTAIN AMERICA and the FALCON infiltrate a Royalist Forces base.
