THE BRAVE AND THE BOLD began publication in August-September of 1955. Originally an adventure series featuring several non-related vignettes per issue, the title eventually evolved into a team-up book, with BATMAN sharing the spotlight feature throughout most of its run.

But here in issue #66 from the Summer of 1962, the stars of the team-up are METAMORPHO, formerly REX MASON, who was turned into the Elemental Man by exposure to an ancient Egyptian meteor, and The METAL MEN - six robots formed from earthly elements - GOLD, IRON, MERCURY, PLATINUM, LEAD and TIN - and created by scientific genius DOC MAGNUS.

In "Wreck the Renegade Robots!", written by Brave and Bold maestro Bob Haney and illustrated by DC stalwart Mike Sekowsky, we find METAMORPHO - in his endless quest to be returned to his human form - seeking out DOC MAGNUS to restore him to normalcy, only to find that he must regain his elemental powers when an evil scientist - The MASTER - takes control of the METAL MEN as pawns in his criminal plans!

This is a great copy of BRAVE AND THE BOLD #66, and is in excellent shape for its age of 59 years! The binding is strong, it has nicely glossy covers, no creases, tears or pieces missing, and no toning of its near-6-decades-old pages! We conservatively grade this copy a 6.5 FN+.
