Bob Haney serves up two stories where BATMAN and the GREEN LANTERN combine forces against the TIME COMMANDER in these two BRAVE and the BOLD issues, published 18 months apart!

In #59 he offers up "The Tick-Tock Traps of the Time Commander" , illustrated by Ramona Fradon and Charles Paris! Bruce Wayne is told an actor who approaches him that he knows he is BATMAN, and subjugates him, to reveal he is really the TIME COMMANDER, a manipulator of time through his spectral hourglass! He manages to summon GREEN LANTERN to BATMAN'S side and then send them into different time periods while he goes on a crime spree.

Tis is the first issue that started the long streak of BATMAN teaming up with other heroes!!

They manage to trick the TIME COMMANDER and send him to jail . . . but here he is again in issue #69! In "War of the Cosmic Avenger" BATMAN is again trapped by the TC and must summon GL. Win Mortimer this time illustrates the duo's battle against and almost unstoppable creation called COSMOS . . . but, as you might guess, they again prevail and send the TIME COMMANDER to jail once more!

These two B&B copies are in top-notch shape, with only the slightest edge wear affecting them. They both have solid bindings and glossy covers, with only minor interior toning, as you would expect from 56-year old comics! These two Silver Age issues garner an aggregate $114 pricing in Overstreet for these two nice copies! That seems a bit much - how does $80 sound??
