MARVEL'S BLACK PANTHER was created by Stan Lee and writer-artist Jack Kirby, and first appeared in 1966's Fantastic Four #52. Black Panther's real name is T'CHALLA, and he is the king and protector of the secret African nation of Wakanda. Along with possessing enhanced abilities achieved through ancient Wakandan rituals, T'Challa also relies on his proficiency in science, rigorous physical training, hand-to-hand combat skills, and access to wealth and advanced Wakandan technology to combat his enemies.

Here in BLACK PANTHER #3, co-creator Jack Kirby, returning from his stint at DC comics in the early 70s, both writes and illustrates (with an inking assist by Mike Royer) "Race Against Time", in which BLACK PANTHER and his companions Abner Little and Princess Zanda, survive the perils of King Solomon's tomb to find the second Brass Frog. With the two Frogs connected, the ancient time machine is complete and the PANTHER is able to send Hatch-22 back to his own time in the future.
