This is the fourth of 7 Beany and Cecil issues under the Dell banner. All pages but the front cover of this issue came from the drawing board of noted Disney/Warner Bros. animator Jack Bradbury, who switched to comic book illustration when he was 30 years old, and never looked back!

Jack Bradbury was personally selected by Beany and Cecil creator Bob Clampett to be the first cartoonist to adapt his puppet characters from the daily TV show "Time for Beany" to the comic book medium, and Jack illustrated all 7 Beany and Cecil issues in the first 1953 - 1955 run of this title.

This issue contains the book-length story, "In Search of the Caboose Goose Egg". Beany, Cecil, and the Captain Huffenpuff take their boat, the 'Leakin' Lena', to Inka Dinka Doo Land in order to find Sir Cuttlebones Jones, the famous bird watcher, who was searching for the Giant Caboose Goose egg and is missing. Dishonest John is along to keep things interesting.
