All pages and the front cover of this issue came from the drawing board of noted Disney/Warner Bros. animator JACK BRADBURY, who switched to comic book illustration from animation when he was 30 years old, and never looked back!

JACK BRADBURY was personally selected by BEANY AND CECIL creator BOB CLAMPETT to be the first cartoonist to adapt his puppet characters from the daily TV show "Time for Beany" to the comic book medium, and Jack illustrated all 7 Beany and Cecil issues in the first 1953 - 1955 run of this title.

This issue contains the 20-page story, "Beany and the Rain Beetles" wherein Beany, Cecil, and Uncle Captain Huffenpuff sail their boat, the 'Leakin' Lena', to Damp Island to procure some Rain Beetles, to release the horrible drought gripping their town! Dishonest John is along to make things difficult and to keep things interesting!

In the second, title-less story, Dishonest John tries to steal the Leakin' Lena!
