Here are the fourth and fifth of the 5 BEANY AND CECIL issues published by Dell/Gold Key in the early 1960s soon after 'BEANY AND CECIL' became an animated hit on TV (7 issues with the same title had been published by Dell in the earl 1950s, but those were based on the daily puppet show, "A TIME FOR BEANY").

The art in issue #4 was by the incredibly talented Disney and Warner Bros. animator Willie Ito, who had worked on the 'BEANY AND CECIL' animated TV show as a layout artist. Ito was called to Hanna-Barbara to help layout 'The JETSONS' right after finishing issue #4, and #5 is by an artist that no one seems to be able to identify!

In "BEANYLAND", in issue #4, Ito gets to revisit an episode of the animated series he worked on, returning to the lunar site of BEANYLAND - a rather blatant parody of Disneyland. He even includes a detailed, pun-filled map of this 'magic kingdom' on the moon!

You get a total of 72 fun pages of Beany, his Uncle Huffenpuff, and of course CECIL THE SEASICK SEA SERPENT spread out over seven rib-ticlking and pun-filled stories . . . with appearances by Crowy, Henny, King Ding Ding and - of course - DISHONEST JOHN!

These two great-looking books rate as 7.0 FN/VF copies, with no tears or ragged page edges, or other blemishes. Interior color is nice and bright.
