Here are the first and third of 5 Beany and Cecil issues published by Dell/Gold Key in the early 1960s soon after 'Beany and Cecil' became an animated hit on TV (7 issues with the same title had been published by Dell in the earl 1950s, but those were based on the daily puppet show, "A Time for Beany"). Art in the first issue was by John Chilly, but the editors immediately replaced him with the vastly superior Disney and Warner Bros. animator Willie Ito, who had worked on the 'Beany and Cecil' animated TV show as a layout artist.

You get a total of 72 fun pages of Beany, his Uncle Huffenpuff, and of course Cecil the Seasick Sea Serpent spread out over seven rib-ticlking and pun-filled stories . . . with appearances by Crowy, Henny, King Ding Ding and - of course - Dishonest John!
