Dixon offers up "Midnight Train", with art by Lee Weeks and Sienkiewicz, in which Comissioner Gordon and Huntress are trapped on a hijacked subway car and take the situation into their own hands. (The cover illustration by Weeks & Sienkiewich is based on this story)

Allan Grant contributes "Tomorrow Belongs to Us", with art by Stewart Johnson and Cam Smith, which features ANARKY in a supporting role.

And Doug Moench gives us the dialogue-less "Death Mask", illustrated by Brian Apthorp and Terry Austin, in which a burglar's mask falls off when he is shot, is picked up and discarded by a series of people who, while wearing it, are inspired to commit acts of cruelty before it eventually falls into the burglar's grave . . . all as BATMAN observes from afar!
