BATMAN #243 from the Summer of 1972 is a standout issue of the Dark Knight's continuing enmity with the demon RA'S AL GHUL . . and the very first depiction of the infamous LAZARUS PIT!

It's non-stop action from start to finish, as BATMAN first bests the supreme martial artist LO LING and wins his trust in hunting down RA'S - his former master. They fly to Switzerland along with Doctor Blaine and new partner Molly Post to search out RA'S AL GHUL. Upon finding a World War II bunker, Doctor Blaine uses his expertise to find a way inside. The newly formed team enters to find a deceased RA'S AL GHUL with his daughter TALIA grieving. BATMAN takes TALIA into custody, but not before she presses a secret button in the room - a secret button which lowers RA'S AL GHUL's body into the hidden LAZARUS PIT...and revives him!

A terrifically tense story by Denny O'Neil with incredible artwork by the one and only Neal Adams!

This is a great copy of BATMAN #243, with a bright and glossy cover, supple pages with clean printing, and a strong, perfectly straight spine! There is a tiny nick out of the front cover edge, and that's pretty much the only flaw we see!
