Good - A copy in this grade has all pages and covers, although there may be small pieces missing inside; the largest piece allowed from front or back cover is a 1/2 inch triangle or a square 1/2 inch by 1/2 inch. Books in this grade, are commonly creased, scuffed, abraded and soiled, but completely readable. Often paper quality is low but not brittle. Cover reflectivity is low and in some cases completely absent. Most collectors consider this the lowest collectible grade because comic books in lesser condition are usually incomplete and/or brittle. This grade can have a moderate accumulation of defects but still maintains its basic structural integrity.

Premiere issue. Written by Joe Casey with art by Scott Kolins. Recalling the earliest days of the Avengers. Iron Man. Thor. Ant-Man, the Wasp and the Hulk. Newly formed, the Avengers are Earth's premiere super-group but also are an eclectic and unlikely collection of heroes that includes an armored bodyguard, an Asgardian god, a tiny scientist with a passion for insects, his fashion-forward wife and a gamma-ray powered monster. From outside the security fence of Tony Stark's downtown Manhattan mansion, an anxious public waits for any sign as to what this powerful group intends to do. Inside, the Avengers strive to determine their course as well and debate the merits of adopting an official charter that will cement the group's relationship with federal law enforcement.

But getting the Hulk to sign on to any document, especially one that places the team in a cozy position with the National Security Council, isn't easily done. Old jade jaws has a long-standing mad-on about the military and he refuses to sign, smashing his way out of the mansion with one mighty leap. Two weeks later, the Hulk is off the team entirely and his high-profile departure has cast the Avengers in a bad light, especially since he's engaged in a fresh rampage in America's heartland. The federal government turns to Iron Man for justice and the Avengers vow to bring the Hulk in to answer for his destructive actions. But even with added might of Ant-Man becoming Giant-Man, the Avengers can't deliver. At their lowest moment, a glimmer of hope arrives as they accidently come across a man floating, alive and frozen in ice. It's Captain America, the Living Legend of World War II!
