The entire superhero team is put on trial in Congress (reminiscent of the McCarthy Hearings of the early 1950s) and their history is reviewed. All the historical adventures involving the JSA are recalled, and details are added to build the case against them.

Only a Golden Age expert like Roy Thomas could have created this master tale encompassing dozens of 1940s heroes, and used their exploits appearing in ALL-STAR COMICS, their team-ups chronicled in the pages of JUSTICE LEAGUE OF AMERICA, and even stories from their appearances in INFINITY INC.!

You probably couldn't name a Golden Age hero - or villain - that isn't depicted at some point in this mini-series! They're all here: WONDER WOMAN, THE FLASH, DR. MIDNITE, THE SPECTRE, THE ATOM, DR.
