Item Description

Flat,tight,glossy cover.Note the deep orange impression.Many #300s have a week pale orange as they were struck late in the run.Also many issues have an uneven right edge as it appears the cutting blade was imperfect.This issue is an above average example with a crisp even right edge..Note also that even though one staple is not in line with the other,that the right edge is perfectly aligned,which shows this was how the assembly line was aligned during this run.When we say a book is "tight" that implies the spine appears not to have been opened much.It is not "puffy",and the staples are solidly in place without even the tiniest of wear around them as they enter the comic.Thus the comic is graded 9.0 VF/NM due to light surface stress lines or "tics" as some call them on the black colored spine which will obviously highlight anything white,which is what stress lines are.In fact stress lines can and do occur at the time of printing,and do not necessarily imply handling wear.We try to price these keys at the low end of the market,although the before discount price is at the high end. Many years ago I created a 100 point grading scale which would probably give the buyer a greater idea of the true defect quantity. This would be a 91/100 although for grading purposes here it is graded 9.0. To get an idea of our grading read the feedback on a 9.4 Amazing Spiderman #300 we sold a few months back on this site.
