We think this is similar to the Incredible Hulk 180/181 controversy in terms of which is the first appearance. We feel that asm 299 is the true 1st FULL appearance of Venom.

That this is a very high grade book can not be argued. The front cover has NO visible stress lines or tics on the spine,the corners are right angled and crease free,the book is super tight,like new gloss, and staple implants and all else are defect free.The back cover is where it loses the 9.8 grade due to a few stress lines visible on the black area of the spine on the back cover.We grade it as between a 9.2-9.4.It could grade higher.
