The symbiote costume was designed by a Marvel fan from Illinois named Randy Schueller. Editor-In-Chief Jim Shooter purchased the design idea from Randy for $220.

Note that this is a high grade rarer NEWSSTAND COPY.The front cover is devoid of any markings and has great natural gloss.The staples are solidly in place and the spine is almost devoid of stress lines or tics.Corners demonstrate very light wear. Pages are off white to white.Compared to most copies out there this copy shows very well,and is from an original owner collection.
