STEVE DITKO, the creator and main artist for SPIDER-MAN comics since 1962, handles pencils, inks and plotting here for AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #35, as the Wall-Crawler goes after The Molten Man!

(An interesting footnote: records show that the large figure of Spider-Man on the cover was re-drawn by JACK KIRBY, because Ditko had originally drawn Spider-Man with his rear too prominent and facing the reader!)

In "The Molten Man Regrets . . !", Molten Man is allowed to go without any punishment since he has agreed to pay for the damage he had caused back in AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #11. But he quickly shows he has no intentions of going straight - soon Molten Man is robbing a jewelry store and is nearly stopped by Spider-Man.

Spidey then uses a spider-tracer to corner Molten Man/ Mark Raxton in his home, where they tangle again, with a victorious outcome this time for Spider-Man.

This is a solid copy of AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #35, but it admittedly has seen better days, with a cover date stamp, ball-point pen writing on the first page, and an Marvel Bullpen Bulletins page that has come loose from the binding (but is still present). Those are the main detractors . . but they still allow you to enjoy Ditko near his early peak at an affordable price! The pages have normal toning, but no foxing. Overstreet prices this issue in a grade of 4.0 VG at $46 . . . but we think $28 is much more reasonable, and gives you this issue at the best price on HipComic! (And our mere $2 shipping fee is another good reason to take this Spidey home!)
