STEVE DITKO, the creator and main artist for Spider-Man comics since 1962, handles both pencils and inks for AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #29, the second appearance of The Scorpion!

In "Never Step on a Scorpion!", The Scorpion (loser MacDonald Gargan) has his costume returned to him in prison and then escapes, swearing revenge on Spider-Man and J. Jonah Jameson. Peter swings by the Daily Bugle just as a police officer is telling Jameson that an extra security detail has been assigned to protect him from the Scorpion. Spider-Man eventually tangles with Scorpion and they both wind up in the Hudson River!

This is a pretty good looking, and clean copy of SPIDER-MAN #29, with no cover blemishes other than an almost unnoticeable sliver out of the right edge at center. The pages have normal toning, but no foxing. The back cover has two tiny tears at the middle edge. Overstreet prices this issue in a grade of 4.0VG at $56 . . . but we think $40 is much more reasonable, and gives you this issue at the best price on HipComic! (And our mere $2 shipping fee is another good reason to take this Spidey home!)
