The much-admired artist ALEX TOTH did his first comic book work for DC in 1947 - the same year he graduated from High School! In 1966 he created 'SPACE GHOST' for Hanna-Barbera . . . but in between those two dates he did many adventurous and beautifully-drawn comic book art -- and these two issues of ZORRO are a wonderful display of his huge talent!

In issue #7, Toth handles the 21-page story "The Runaway Witness", in which Don Diego protects a flower stall girl from the murderers she saw kill a friend of hers. Diego changes to ZORRO and captures the murderers when they attack the stagecoach in which he is moving the girl to safety!

In issue #8, Toth again shows his powerful art in "Garcia's Secret", where ZORRO turns the tables on Sgt. Garcia who is spying on him. And in "The King's Emissary", ZORRO is about to be unmasked at a government banquet, but again gets the last laugh!

There are also photographs from the TV show as well as Gold Key's standard mix of gag panels and silliness.

Neither of these copies would win a beauty contest, but the bindings are strong, there is minimal toning, and Toth's art and the rousing stories really shine through! We'll conservatively grade these at 4.0VG, which means Overstreet thinks we should charge you $16. How about $8 plus our always-L•O•W shipping?? We THOUGHT you might like that!
